My Breathing Space
Welcome! I’m an autism parent, clinical behavior analyst who best learns, communicates and shares stories with visuals. In this space, I share the real, unfiltered journey of raising a child on the autism spectrum — the challenges that stretch us, the triumphs that redefine us, and the everyday moments that mould us.
With a professional background in behavior analysis, I bring insight to behaviors, shaped by its enviroment, models and ways of teaching. Beyond the clinical lens, I write as a parent — navigating meltdowns, advocating in schools and communities, celebrating milestones, and learning alongside my child. My journey blends science with lived experience, grounded in research and coming from a place of love.
Detached from our daily routines and goals, you’ll find us exploring the world. Through travel, I soak in the beauty of diversity, culture, and places — discovering how different communities live, learn, and connect. These experiences continually remind me that neurodiversity is part of the rich tapestry of human life.
This blog is where professional knowledge meets personal growth, and where challenges transform into resilience. Join me as I embrace parenting, purpose, and the beauty of seeing the world — and our children — through a wider, logical and introspective lens.
From journal entries to photo essays, I try to capture what life actually feels like. First line of support starts with presence.
Yours,
Teacher M
